No I have them covered with Styrofoam. I think they'll survive but I did a bad job with wintering all my plant's . I did a test to see if the one I left uncovered would make it and to see if the ones I covered will survive. It was 1 degree today Fahrenheit. So we'll see what happens. This was my first year doing this, studied all the info I could on cold hardy pants and palms. I've got big plans and a little budget for next year lol. But I think I can do it a lot better. I've noticed everything tropical looks alt better when it's bunched up together and not big spaces inbetween like I have

Ouch, that's quite the test! 🙄

Fingers crossed you'll get pups out of its base.

I hope your Bananas survive I used to dig mine up but that got to be too much. I really didn't believe they were as hardy as people were saying. So I have left them in the ground the last few years and they shoot up out of the ground and get about as tall as my house. The only protection mine get is mulch. I live in a slightly warmer zone that you do though im farther south. It's considered 6b here where im at in southern Illinois. Good Luck hopefully they will survive and come back.

Yeah I noticed the one I didn't cover turned in to mush. it never grew that good don't know why. so I took the chance with that one. my other ones that are under Styrofoam froze but I noticed because the trunks are real thick it hasn't turned into mush.

My bananas rotted all the way to the ground. Does that mean theyre completely dead, or will they come back.from the roots

They often do rot right to the ground, even if you have some protection.
Should come back from the roots as soon as ground heats up.
