I planted 3 seed grown Eucalyputus debeuzevillei plants this year. Germed the year prior. It's been a very warm winter but have hit 7F (-13.9C) twice this season. So far the unprotected plants look good. One plant may have some minor damage to the most juvenile leaves. A few updated photos................it's been 2 weeks since we hit 5F (-15C) and the hardy Eucs are still alive.

The leaf behind my thumb is 1/2 dead........other than that it's looking good.

The eucs look great though.. You thinking of wrapping them if it gets too cold?

Jesse.........-15C was likely for 2 hours? That was the low temp for the night.

Barb..........so far that 5F is the lowest..........the 30 day forecast only shows a low of 9F............watch it now drop below 0F! 😮

Tim, this is great to see. If these Eucs can survive the next couple of winters, you might have some long-term trees!

Hi Cameron,

the Euc roots will be established if they can survive this winter..........the 30-day forecast has a low of 9F.........so it appears they will survive again. 😀
