Here is my short story about Maurelli. I bought it in spring 2011 and put into a ground on 11st May

1 month later

2 months later

3 months later

End of 3th month (August)

27th August 🙂

On 19th September I dig him out of the ground

From the end of September I keep Maurelli in the living room.

Keep exoting!

Yes, you're right - this winter I hope Maurelli fits inside the house but the next year I will have a problem, a sweet problem to solve 😉

Some shots from inside.

If you have a cool basement you can store the trunk down there over winter.

My Abyssinian is the reddish colored one one-unless
your using one of those black and white computers.

Hope you'll post your palm pics and details too.

By the way, congratulations on getting your photos to work. 😛

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Super colour on that plant!
I left mine in the ground to die, treating it like a bedding plant. If you have success with yours in 2012 maybe I'll try to save one for the future.

In your original set of pics(about the third from the last),it looks like a giant of 8' or so. 😀

Godfryd, what areyou going to do next winter?
I don't have any bananas, but they must be easier to bend (at the ceiling) than palms?

After that...a new house 😆 😆

Heh 😉 For now I've got two options for the next winter:

1. My neighbour already declared that she can take my Maurelli into her living room - she has high enough room to keep an Ensete without any problems 🙂
2. I prepare an Ensete for the winter doing it like here in video:
