Here are my Yuccas that have been planted since 2008. The Y.rigidas look like they barely made it again this year.

Always loved that circle.
Great seeing the growth they've made in a few short years.

Scrolling down your Flickr page is a jaw-dropper.
From palms in Kelowna and Vancouver to your winter protection; also everything outside in summer.
Wow.

The ONLY thing I have on you is my BoP is blooming. :booty:
But yours is so big you can't get it into the house, I know. 😆

Well done buddy.

Thanks Barb and Chad. Barb I`ve had that BoP for several years now and still nothing doing with a bloom yet. Any tips for me on getting it to bloom?

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

John, my BoP hated being in the cold building every winter, and never bloomed.
Despite fertilizing late summer in other years, its first time blooming was the first winter it spent in the warm house by a sunny sidelight at front door.

Preferred fertilizer for BoP is 3-1-5, or 12-4-8 with extra Potassium.
I've used 12-4-8 and added a tablespoon K into watering can separately.

IMO, a warm winter temperature inside the house is as important as fertilizer type.

You'd have to grow your house to get it inside 😆 😆

Thanks Aaron for the comments. Barb thanks for the heads up on BoP blooming info. Now I just have to get the chainsaw running to cut a hole in ceiling for the BoP next winter 😆

John, I think you have to go through ALL the ceilings of your house to get that bird of paradise inside. 😆
