Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

My favorite Yucca :toothy7: How old is it? What kind of prices do elatas go for around your place. Up here i can only find 1 gallon size ones that go for $10. And the place that sells them are always sold out. 🙁

That plant is about 7 years old 🙁 , but they usually grow faster then that 😀 They pick up speed with age!
Cost here is around $7-7.50 range, or $5.00 if you pick them up from my place 😀 And if I have them in stock 😕

It's too bad they take so long to grow. 🙁 Oh well by the time i'm 60 years old i figure i could have a few nice size ones in my front yard. LOL

Well....they grow a lot faster then that one in the pic. I have others that are only a couple of years old that are the same size 😀 I don't know what I did wrong with that one 🙄 It was one I bought. The others I have are home grown, and are doing much better. Give them 10 years and you will have a plant to talk about :hello1:
The first 2-4 years are the slowest growth for this plant.

I wish I had a some recent pics of my elatas, because this winter they grew a bunch of long hair from the center, or it came off the leaves. Either way they have became very hairy this winter 😯 I never seen this before 😕

Aaron,

That would be great if you could hold one or two of them for me until the weather gets a little warmer. I'll be in Coure d' Alene Idaho in a couple of weeks but i'm guessing your allot further south? I have never seen such a hairy elata before. 😀

Regards,
Jay

Hi Jay,
I checked to see what I have in the pots, and I have only one, but that one has been eaten down by rabbits. I gave Plantasia Cactus Gardens 4-5 plants to sell for me but I think he might want a couple dollars more?
If the one comes back and I am sure it will I will save it for you 🙂

I would take you one, but Coure d' Alene is as far from me as Las Vegas 🙁 If the one comes back from the rabbit attack, I will mail it to you. I checked with the post office, I can mail plants in a large envelopes with out extra cost to you. I also will be growing more of them this summer 🙂

Sounds good Aaron. That would be great if the elata comes back. 😀 So you must live right by the Nevada border?

Jay

I live about 40 miles from the border? Or close to that, it does not take long to get to Jackpot Nevada. 🙂

Jay if that one does not come back I will see about getting one from Plantasia Cactus Gardens for you. I will probably see the owner again in April 🙂

Jackpot Nevada, my favorite place to go when on my way to LV. 😀

That would cool if you would do that for me Aaron. But if it's too much trouble to get one back then don't worry about it. Just let me know how much and what the shipping cost is to send you if the elata makes a comeback or you get another one. 😀

Regards,
Jay

Jay,
I think it will be about $7-9 dollars for the plant and about $6 dollars for the shipping and handling. I will know more later if the one comes back or I talk to the owner of Plantasia Cactus Gardens. 🙂
