My order of cacti and yuccas arrived a few days ago.

I`m excited and get to stick em in the ground today. 😀

Here`s what i received from http://www.rockgardenplants.com

I have to say Roger rocks over at Beaver Creek Greenhouses.

Couldn`t be happier with their service. 😀

He even threw in a bonus Yucca whipplei ssp. caespitosa. 😀

Yucca kanabensis

Yucca neomexica

Opuntia polyacantha 'Purple Desert'

Opuntia phaeacantha DJF970.18

Pediocactus simpsonii v. robustior SB1590

Escobaria vivipara v. neomexicana

Opuntia polyacantha 'Vernon Pink'

Opuntia imbricata v. arborescens 'White Tower'

Opuntia 'Super Rutila'

Opuntia 'Namao Rose'

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Very nice haul Jay. I`m thinking of getting some of their Yucca`s they have. Amazing the are somewhat close to us being in the east Kootenays for lower shipping charges.

Nice Haul! I've never heard about this free shipping for freight employees... hmmm.
I had no luck with Yucca kanabensis nor Yucca whipplei caespitosa, but you're locale is more similar to their natural habitats... At least Yucca kanabensis' native habitat. neomexicana has been bullet-proof for me.
I agree that Rogers plants are incredible and I've been most pleased with everything I've received from him. I've had quite a few interesting plants survive and others fail for no reason! For instance, O. polyacantha 'Colorado red' and o. basilaris v. brachyclada and O. basilaris 'Hardy form' that I got last spring failed... No idea why.
Hey, if you have any O. basilaris v. basilaris or O. violaceae, or O. discata or anything else that might be interesting, I'd be interested in a trade! If I can figure out how to post my cactus list from excel I will!

I would've torn that box open ... hard to stay calm with such a shipment!
Now get 'em planted and take more pics please, Jay.

Haven't dealt with BeaverCreek, always nice to hear of a reliable nursery reasonably close.
Their winters are generally as cold and snowy as ours, so their stock should be reliable.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

Got them all planted. Will try to take some pics this weekend.

Sorry Paul don't have any of those cacti but if I come across them I'll
keep you in mind.

Yeah, we get to ship small parcels for free. As long as we don't try to
ship a car etc. 😆

Good stuff Jay!
Is that a Yucca rostrata in the picture of the cactus about halfway down?
Look like your glauca is going to bloom, any others in bloom that you could hybridize with?

Thanks guys. 🙂

Yes, that's a rostrata I got from Aaron (desertzone) a couple years ago.

Don't have any other yuccas flowering at the moment. 🙁
