Loved the pictures Damir 😀
Yes that Trachy looks like Jim's surgery technique, fingers crossed it'll come back.
The cat EATS your yuccas?
Silly boy, but very cute.
Nice specimens you have, looking forward to seeing the M/F pistachios grow.
Thankfully your horrible cold is over with no other damage.
Glad that c.humilis rigida was under the snow!

The W. filifera and W.filibusta are going to grow a lot this year.
Everything looks good, damir, and warm!

Still in your basement during your nice weather?
It might be happier outside during the day?
Hope it grows 5 leaves for you this year 😀

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
-Aaron-
barb, there are still some morning lows like -2, -3 C, during the day 10 to 15C. and trachy is sensitive since inner leaves are out now, soft and white. soon as the morning temps reach 10 C it will be planted outdoor. it will recover very quickly. it grows about 10 leaves every year. but damage rewind it few years back.
thanks aron. yes, everything will grow very well. besides this yucca,agave,opuntia,palms.. i have few new fruit trees like pawpaw, poncirus trifoliata -some kind of wild lemon tree semi edible, but cold hardy to -30 C. and wild olive oliva europea sylvestris. i have no much expectations with it that will survive here in zone 7a, but who knows...
Hi Damir,
it looks like spring has 'sprung'. Nice plants. Your A. lechiguilla looks like it may be a hybrid lechiguilla too. I like it.

same garden, new pics ... 😉
seedlings of true trachy takil from himalaya elevation 2500 meters. alexander from EPS was selling it. till now 8 takils!! 😉
last winter was horrible here. with low as -27 at my place. albizzia was killed but recovered from roots, one cupressus sempervirens also half dead, one in facing south looking great. lavander also half dead. some gone, some new arrival. summer was warm as hell, up to 40 C for 4 months. i was in germany for last 6 months, good that some plants stayed alive without my presence. 😉
opuntias are growing like weed. cant get a rid of it. new texas is born here in croatia, zone 7a. never had problems with cold hardy cacty. cold hardest exotics i have. also one e.coccineus survived last winter outdoor, and few new ones showed up next to it. this winter test will be opuntia basilaris, grown from seed mesagarden. also sabal minor, needle palm seedlings, sabal brazoria, araucaria araucana small one from seed.....
butia odorata. will be duged out today,to small to be tested. in few years,at better position south facing wall.
sabal minors,2 needle palms, one chamaerops humillis and one cerifera seedling...
