here is the difference between real one and wild pistachio native to Croatia, pistacia terebinthus (right)

Do you have a pic of the native one of Croatia, tree view? 🙂

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

i dont have any of my own pics of terebinth pistachio. google it, it is the same look of the plant. looks like real one pistachio but smaller leaves, fruits.... i've read somewhere that the seeds of terebinth pistachio is sold in Turkey as a coffee. it has very interesting smell.

my trachy survived -25 C this winter, but it didn't survive this morning ice from the roof.

go figure your plants survive the brutal cold only to get damaged from roof ice! 😕

You still look real cold over there! Still warm here! I guess your cold = our warmth!

winter is gone now.

this link shows temps in next 15 days.
tim, you are right, our cold in europe , is your warmth.
jim, it looks .... i wont say it, but you might know what i think.

i dug it out, the trachy palm, and plant it in the pot in basement till the spring comes out. and i will need another place for it, to avoid this year story. the main thing is that it is alive. i cut down all the leaves that were broken and some upper part of the trunk, it will survive.

Damir, that's bad news about the T. fortunei! Hopefully it will recover while potted.
