A few shots from earlier this year.

My favourite Opuntia flower, 'Crystal tide'... It's self-seeded everywhere and I hope some of the seedlings will be winners:

Another favourite is this aff. polyacantha (rhodantha?) with purple pads:

An O. aurea (basilaris v. aurea) with dark pink flowers:

O. aurea with yellow flower:

Pink Opuntia polyacantha:

E. fendlerii:

<a href=" http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2544645430072511707nGYJF O"><img src=" " alt="DSCN2490"></a>

I would call this O. aurea, but the yellow stigma tells me it is not!

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Beautiful. That Crystal Tide is something special. Does it flower a lot? How can I get a cutting?

Also, Paul, can you please help me with naming my opuntia I posted in this thread:

Tavi- I can get you a cutting from Crystal tide. It flowers a lot, not as much as macrorhiza but more than some of the larger types.

We write 'colour' here.
