Any budy ever try Agave salmiana? I bought one and hope to plant it in Arizona this year. Any info would be great. 😀

Amazed at the size ... he was standing on a leaf segment!
What a lot of work! (poor agave...) 😆 😆
I am trying to imagine how the natives figured that out...can you picture how many times they tried it differently before they got it right?
I cringed when he removed the spines too 🙁
Obviously the plant is now dead?
Wonder what they do with the rest of the plant, just let it rot?

I got it off ebay for like $5 bucks. Mine is not very big but was not bad for the money. 😉

Obviously the plant is now dead?
Wonder what they do with the rest of the plant, just let it rot?Barb
It should come back from the roots, thats how they keep the farms going. 😀 In the past they would use the leaves for fiber/threads for ropes and such.

Thought that field picture with hundreds planted were the next crop.
You got that for five bucks off eBay?
...then there's the Canadian eBay site...plants/gardening = cobwebs, with an echo if you knock on the door. 😐
