First picture I could find of Y.gloriosa-most likely the day it was planted in late March or early April of 2008-the one on the left is a variegated Aloifolia that was dug out.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

It's fun for me to go back and look at how big/small certain plants were, either
when I planted them are earlier in the year.
In the case of my Castor beans....I know they were growing fast
but when you see 6' of growth in a month......the pictures don't lie!
The Gloriosa has been amazing to watch, every spring it puts out a serious
burst in the spring as you can see in the last 2 pics.
Check out how much it grew in 1 month 😀 😯

That gloriosa is incredible! I'm so jealous... I've tired a few here, they aren't long term hardy in zone 4b/5a, coming back most years, but never really amounting to anything!
Thanks Paul!
I have found them to be quite
hardy but I do provide heat for the rough patches.

Looks like it's growing so fast, the variegation can't keep up. 😀 😀 😀
Could it be forming a trunk?

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
Imagine how big the trunk would be if I cut all the leaves off! 😀 😯
It's always a little greener until the leaves fully harden and then the color sets. 😀

Glad I'm not the only one who had that idea 😆

I do go chop, chop once in a while.
I did that to almost all my Bananas yesterday but the Yuccas appear happy the way they are!
Why press my luck?-they can support those leaves just fine!-it's not like it never rains here! 😯
