Tim I got mine from e-bay for 19.00 bucks I think. It's about 3ft tall not a bad price. This will be about the 3-4 time I have tried one. I have even grown a few from seed, grow faster than one might think. 😉

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I'm not sure, could have been wet feet in the winter? Even my seed grown plant died at temps that I thought simi-mild. I have not tried them in a better sand-gravel mix like I have now. I think I will have much better results now. 😀

PS could have been that smaller plants are not as hardy. 😕

Aaron you guys are so much farther ahead of what we have here. The fact that you can get trunking Yuccas shipped up from Nevada cheap is a big plus. We have few Y. rostrata in Kelowna that are 6 ft. tall. Not nearly enough IMO. Thanks for the pics.

Hi John
We are lucky too have such a cheap supply of plants here. Too bad there is not an open border policy on plants shipped from the US. 😡

Was out today and brought my camera. Here are a couple of nice Y. rostrata 10 min drive from my house. The first one looks as though it had a little setback recently. http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/6991112573/ The other one looks great. It also has some prickly pear cactus for some company. http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/6991112581/ We need a ton of these planted here!

Wow, have never seen those anywhere in Kelowna.

Do you know if they were planted as youngsters, or only a year or two ago?
Wonder where they got 'em from if they were recent additions.

Gorgeous!

Barb they have been planted there for over five years now as 10 gal. He bought them in Vancouver. They definitely have seen some cold over that time. I drive by frequently to see how they are doing. Now I really want some big ones like these. 🙂

Would love one of those myself.

Where in Vancouver?
Wonder if Kelowna Flower Farm would bring some in...or maybe tell us the price first. 😆

Barb he said he just happened to be lucky enough to be at a nursery that had them. Don`t know the name. I asked the flower farm to bring me six 10 gal Y.rostrata 4 years ago and ended up with Y. rigida as you know "not cheap!" Apparently "Blue beaked yucca" is up for mixed interpretation between nurseries.
