Discovered that these are growing only a couple of miles away!!!!
Once the snow's gone, I'll visit to take up close photos of these beauties:

Looks like rostrata, but could they be grass?

I have found it an easy tactic to ask. Inevitably, the person in charge of plantings is delighted that someone noticed.
Bonus: this tactic has resulted in a lot of free or cheap plants....

The only reason I think they might be grass is they look like someone has trimmed them. 😕

When I was little my Mom worked at a nursing home. They had alarms on the doors so people could not escape. Some of the older people there wanted my brother and I to help break them out, and sometimes we would. We would almost make it across the packing before we would all get caught! 😆
