Mine too! Though it has started to come back from the roots!

did your Y. neomexicana die back from winter cold? It seems like many Yuccas from the Utah area don't like my climate and will die back and resprout again from the roots only to die back. Not sure why, I don't think it's our cold because Utah can get colder than here.

did your Y. neomexicana die back from winter cold? It seems like many Yuccas from the Utah area don't like my climate and will die back and resprout again from the roots only to die back. Not sure why, I don't think it's our cold because Utah can get colder than here.

I agree, it should not be from the cold. Mine has never burned, very hardy yucca.

Neomexicana is full hardy here. This is my seed grown from population in Cimarron County, Oklahoma (Mesa Garden 1997.81). It's germinated in March 2012, planted in ground in late summer/early autumn, and passed very wet winter without any problems.
