Hybrid seeds mostly (big mama x reverchonii-thompsoniana) and (big mama x recurvifolia 'Tenn'). Plant many and select the best.

Man. That was a big plant! Sad to see the main stem go. Hope the best traits are passed on the offspring!
Would you be willing to sell or trade for one of those pups. I got a variegated yucca gloriosa that is almost fully hardy in my zone 5 Illinois ( lived for 9 years and grew a 1 foot trunk then a few years ago top got winter kill). I got about 5 small ones from that. Or, if you name a price, I might be willing to just buy it.
I tried taking one offshoot from the mother plant but it never rooted.......it was too early in the spring and it had no roots. The problem with these offshoots is that they are coming off the vertical trunk and not off roots. The root/trunk is like elata not like filamentosa. I will be trying to separate another offshoot soon. I'll keep everyone updated. PS, I have Y. gloriosa 'variegata'........mine too died to the ground a few winters ago but I have too many pups.
