Not many pics of variegated Yucca species here. Today Jan. 18-08 I took these pics of Yucca gloriosa var. variegata.
Cheers, Barrie.

So much nicer than looking at the tips of mine sticking up out of the snow.

Allen,
I don't think these Yucca gloriosa variegata are hardy in Edmonton, or are you refering to the Yucca genus in general terms?

Cheers, Barrie.

Thanks,
Indeed Todd it is mine ... in my front garden no less. The thing is bullet proof here.

Let me know if it sets seed... 😉 And it they retain the variegation.

Will do, although I've never seen any Yucca set seed here. Any local stuff always seems to be from divisions or cuttings.

Cheers, Barrie.

That's a beauty.
Will it trunk?

Wes ... it appears to be forming a trunk right now it's about 6" of clear trunk and heavily branched. No flowers yet. The leaf tips are very sharp which makes it diffucult to groom.
Todd ... ten bucks! They'll be worth 3 times that in a year or two. Always buy a bargain I say. 😆

Cheers, Barrie.

Both of my yuccas are variegated but they are still small and easily snow covered. There are few yuccas that are hardy here and I don't think that gloriosa is one of them.

Wes ... here's a pic of the trunk(s) that has formed so far.

Cheers, Barrie.

I have posted them elsewhere in the forum. Unfortunately I don't remember where. 🙄

Must be Oldtimers disease setting in. 😉

Where did you get yours?

I got to try and find one.

I really like trunking yuccas.

Hey Wes ... if you're ever over on the "rock", I have a 5 gallon sized specimen nearly busting out of the pot. A trade may be in the works for W.H.Y.?

Cheers, Barrie.
