and you can't spray anything to prevent the beetles without harming the moths.
Darn.
Thanks for the new pic, don't think I've seen those here (except maybe in the pantry 😆 😆 😆 )
let us know if those Yuccas form seed......we'll know if the Yucca moth is in your area.
Will do.

Hi Barb
I do spray every now and then and it works for a few hours but I'm killing the moths too which I don't like to do. There are just too many beetles!

Terrible dilemma, Tim.
I know how hard it is to reconcile that.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Maybe freeze dry 'em... 😆
Those yuccas downtown are finished blooming (didn't have my camera...)
My yuccas are just starting (finally).
Had a quick look....good news no beetles; bad news no moths.
Canadian moths are busy trying to collect pollen/nectar from lightbulbs.
Idiots.

The ones in town bloom so early (nearly a month) before mine.
So pollen would need to be stored until mine are ready to receive?
Will give it a try, Aaron.
Thanks.
Barb
EDIT: Y.filamentosa just starting to bloom. No beetles, no moths, no ants.

Nice Yuccas Barb
I guess all the snow is finally gone? LOL
My last blooming Yuccas are nearly finished now. You'll need to try some Y. Glauca and Y. Gloriosa since they bloom early.

Yes it finally warmed up, and my tongue's hanging down to my knees from the sudden heatwave ... we didn't have a spring.
I've got a spot picked out for my two Big Mama seedlings...that's it, no more space (unless it's 15 acres away) 😐

Yucca king Tim is probably correct. 😀
Sure looks like the second picture here: http://www.swcoloradowildflowers.com/white%20enlarged%20photo%20pages/yucca%20angustissima%20and%20harrimaniae.htm
Except that the yucca in the photos I took in town have very few filaments.
