Andym, do you know the selection/form of rostrata you have? I think the silver leaves are amazing.
Aaron... I'm afraid I don't but I'm actually wondering now whether it is a hybrid. I just don't have enough experience to tell. I am still in contact with the supplier so I will enquire.
But with leaves that wide it looks that way.
Thanks Andy! 😀

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

And that link, Aaron, will make you drool at all the yuccas they have.
Still blows me away that y.rostrata is rated for zone 5.
ya right... 😆 😆 😆
Mine ended up costing me about $60 each with the phytosanitary certificate and shipping, etc.
6 rostrata, little guys, for about $300.
H would kill me. 😆 😆 😆
So I can't risk them to an unprotected winter.
But you're doing things right, Aaron, letting only the hardiest ones survive.
That's the secret to success, not heating them in an artificial enclosure like I do. Oh well.

Thanks for the link, I forgot about all the very cool plants they have. I spent half the day reading it. 😆

And naturally, you enjoyed how Tony injects humor into some of his plant descriptions.
I laugh everytime.

Just thought you would like to know that the Supplier and their sub contracted Shipper finally admitted responsibility for the damage to the plant and awarded €200 in damages which just about paid for the shipping in the first place 🙄
How expensive is it to ship plants in the US/Canada? Blutty extortionate over here especially from Europe to the UK. The same Supplier above can charge up to €360 just to ship one plant and yet an Ebay supplier from Spain charges max €160 for large plants.
The Tropical Centre in Holland will charge €330 for one plant over 1.8mts in height which may just cost €150 🙄 thats because the plant has to be shipped on a pallet. But at least they offer free shipping on orders over €1000 😆
BTW my Rostrata did not come from the TC.

Andy, you do not want to know how expensive it is to ship plants here! Or the hassle that we have to go through for importing, etc. You guys in the UK are lucky to have the easy trading within the EU, imagine if you needed to get separate documents every time you wanted a plant brought in that was out of your country! 😆 Congrats on getting that damage money as well.
