I must've goofed by using my palm soil.
And I didn't water much ... heck, they're yuccas.

For starting yuccas I have only had good luck with soil from outside or waste gravel/soil from work projects. The filata seed all sprouted in the dirt from work and the big mama seed very few sprouted from the soil in my yard. 😕 I never have luck with soil from a bag. 😐
I think it was Nov. or Dec. when I started that seed? It was cold out. 😉

wow, nice job Aaron! You'll have to get them into the ground now and water them throughout the summer. PS, if you want more big mama seed let me know.......still got 1,000 seed. 😆
It will be interesting to see the variation between seedlings......keep us updated. I never germinated any of my big mama seed yet.

I'm sick of harsh and long winters. A little -10C / 14F with snow cover will do 😉

I don't fertilize yuccas at all. Should I? They grow on very poor soils, so I never thought about fertilizing.

None, I think mine grew faster because I placed the windows in my house directly to the south for solar gain. Also I live in a desert, so more sun through the windows in winter? 🙂
