Hello marcel,
I have noticed, that if a new Yucca is planted a little deeper, than one would think, with the lover leaves just below the surface, then the Yucca grow faster, and will it will grow a thicker base. A good base is very important when the Yucca in time will be in bloom. If the base is too thin-weak the heavy bloom will make the plant to tilt when it's windy or rainy weather conditions or and staking might be necessary.

Thanks, Benny! I'll keep that in mind π
One day my Y. constricta x filamentosa x filata 'Big Mama' died and and grew one offset. I planted it in the ground for few months. Here's what I have now:

It's cool (or cold) Marceli!
We got 1,5 month with a temperature below freezing.... All my yucca seedlings covered with some snow blanket which I hope would help them to survive... More update after next 3 Winter month. The only thing I like there was no cold below minus 20 C yet.

They're getting to a nice size, Marceli, where they can probably take anything winter can throw at them.
Beautiful, also the Big Mama pups in the previous photo.
Igor, glad winter hasn't been too cold yet.
But snow cover will be very good for the seedllings.
We're getting V E R Y cold now. :verycold:

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
A quick question ladies&gents: my indoor rostrata's leaves are wilting. Should I stop watering it at all? It grows in plastic pot with sandy-gravel soil, so very quick drying. It has very little light, unfortunately, but temperature is pretty high. I know, it's bad for overwintering.

π If wilting, it needs water.
But needs coolest spot in the house.
It must be cool/cold in winter, and then you can stop watering it.
I've got both a young one and an older one in pots in the cold building, barely above zero.
Haven't watered them since Sept.
Near windows.
No wilting because it's cool in there.
Good luck with it marceli.

The problem is I don't have light cold place to store my yucca.
I noticed the youngest leaves are pale green. Checked the soil with some thin long stick and it's a little moist, so it might be not about watering β I'm confused now π

Good to see it.
doesn't look wilted, marceli.
Young, new-ish leaves are always lighter than older ones.
Maybe raise it higher to get more light?

Nice update!
Big Mama seedlings should be hardy to at least -20C.......likely even hardier to -25C. Excess winter moisture is the biggest problem.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Update.
Y. neomexicana doesnt like our wet winters. It's gonna be kept under glass all the time:
I had an accident with flooding in the late Fall with bigger Y. baccata which caused its demise but the offset seems to be alive and kicking! Now I know: rain protection all year round is a must in my climate:
Young Y. Filata 'Big Mama' seedling looks alive. Will see if it starts growing when the real Spring arrives:
And the last but not least my Y. uknown. Looks kinda bent in one direction. Maybe it's the weight, I don't know:

Planted my Y. rostrata at last:
The leaves are not in perfect shape. The don't like being overwintered inside warm apartment.
