Yeah... I had been felt 25-30 m/sec wind many-many years ago. In spring... No snow but sand. In desert. WOW!

Nope... It's worse - I mean wind measurement. Playing the beach volleyball you closing eyes facing the sand, measuring the wind - you keep eyes wide open...

Hi Barb......yes your garden is be a better test location than here for cold hardiness......but we do have loads of winter precipitation which is not their favorite. I don't think either one of us could kill off the Yuccas in the Y. constricta x filamentosa X filata 'big mama'........unless we get to some zone 4b/5a temps......perhaps even colder. 8)

Didn't get around to planting the 2 Big Mamas this summer, but for sure next spring.

Hurricane destroyed my protection again, but I'm not giving up 8)
Still looks and feels like early Spring with temperatures +10C/50F during the day!
Yuccas under the big polytunnel:
Y. gloriosa/recurvifolia complex - still growing!
Check out this rosette!
And still unknown but growing longer and longer leaves yucca 'mystery'. I wish I put someone inside so you can see how big it is now:
