Barb, the trunk for sure, but still has the same rather small crown. I guess this species grows this way.

Maybe that thicker trunk with allow more foliage development 😉
And with some age the leaves will likely grow a bit larger too?

I was thinking I finally found true Y. glauca seeds, but I was wrong I guess. When my plant was small the leaves were narrow but now see for yourselves:

I have glauca grown from seeds from mesa garden and it looks totally different, as it should be. Bad luck or maybe sellers really don't know what they sell?

Hi Marceli,

your unknown Yucca is not a typical Y. glauca with those wide leaves. It's likely a Y. arkansana form. 8)

Thanks, Tim! I must rename the tag then 🙂

We've had the worst spring ever with tons of rain and there's one yucca which especially doesn't like it: Y. baccata:

The other species seem to like it, tho and grow pretty fast:

Guys, is it safe to put so small yuccas outdoor or should I keep'em in shade first? They grow too slow in containers.

Keep them in the shade first, then slowly move them out in the sun. They will burn if brought from inside to outside sun. After this they can be planted in the sun. 😉

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Nice.

Barb, check it out now! 😀

Could it be Y. glauca var. stricta or leaves are too thick? I'm still wondering what it may be 8)

And the rest of my yuccas:
