That is in Texas. The lone star sign is in the background, but I recognized this Yucca. It is most commonly referred to as THE largest Yucca rostrata.
Not sure if it is a thompsoniana.

Ninja, most bush Yuccas are monocarpic. They flower, set seed, then that shoot dies.
Most tree Yuccas attain tree size, because they are NOT monocarpic.
You can maximize a bush Yucca's size by cutting off the flower stalk before any seed forms. This can also promote branching.
My Yucca glauca tree form. Last flower stalk was summer 2011, never set seed, now has two leaders in its main rosette.:

Not that I could see, but he did say it bloomed in the past and had thompson like flowers. (long flower stocks) I would say the leaves are about 3.5' long or longer? They are longer than my elata that has 3' leaves. The leaves are almost smooth on the sides, but I did not check if the were smooth on the bottom. 😐

I wish I would have bought one when he had them for sale as one gals. 😡

I need to bring a tape down with me so I can measure the leaves, I hate guessing. 😆

The yucca to the right is normal size for a rostrata, so you can see it would be an awesome yucca to have.

How long are the leaves on "big Mama"?
