Nice Yucca recurvifolia Damir. I really like your garden especially your Pheonix palm!

Very nice, love the Y. recurvifolia 8)

I like how you have kept the trunk nice and clean.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Always meant to ask, what is used?
Just hand-held little pruning shears? or scissors? box knife?

I had a brutal time finding the right tool for my bottle palm, that's why I'm asking about yuccas.

Tim, cidp was last year planted as an experiment. but dindt go well. all the leaves dried out,lot of funghi inside the box, it barely survived. now is in the house, next to me right now, by the desk with laptop 8) . i found one more cold hardy variety which will be planted outdoor.

barb, the trunk of the yucca is smooth cause i cut the lower leaves with scissors.just leave about one inch next to it. the small part that stays next to the trunk dries out and after it falls down, or i move it my self. very easy.

The best tool I've ever tried is Felco 2 Pruning shear.

OK, so one of these:

But rubbing the trunk afterwards with leather gloves would make it really smooth, I bet.
