Hi, I'm new here. I've been browsing a while but finally decided to post something. This is just a couple of pictures showing the growth of my new cactus garden. Most of these were planted this spring. I'm in northern Utah, near Salt Lake City.

Your opuntia has put on some excellent growth. I buried my opuntia in a bucket as the variety I have isn't hardy here. I've only put on one pad but I might not have it in the most ideal spot nor has the summer really co-operated.
Great start! You'll be floored in about 2 years time when they are covered in flowers! Every March I say to myself "why do I grow cactus", when floweirng comes (late June here), I say to mysefl "why do I grow anything else!"
