Hope your all ok in Kansas. I have been on the road the last three days so i haven't seen too much news. I'm in Winnemucca, Nevada right now doing some work on my laptop while my wife is doing some gambling. That's what really sucks about running free web hosting service and hosting clients webstes is that i have to always work.

Oh well, in two days we will be in Las Vegas and i'm not working. :D

Well not much anyway. :D

Regards,
Jay

I am roughly 20 miles south of Kansas City and the rain is relentless. At my house we've had about 4 inches of rain in the last 36 hours. My rain gauage tops out at 4", so maybe more, I just dumped it out this morning before work. I could've saved money today by taking the canoe to work, but I don't have a canoe. Bad weather sucks. It appears we have several more days of stormy weather. Good luck to all affected by these storms and rising waters.

My thoughts are with you and your family, Steve.

I hope that the river crests at 26'.

Good Luck

Steve - Hope you are OK. We got lucky yesterday in that they were calling for rain and we did not get any.
I live just south of Kansas City. Most of the rivers are expected to crest in the next 24 hours and maybe the worst is over. Lets hope. The film footazge they are showing from around the state is pretty amazing. Rising water is crazy. Can't believe they always have to rescue some teenage boys from the rivers as they are trying to raft down (or whatever they do). Crazy.

Thanks for all the kind words!
We crested about 27' this morning with only minor flooding. Problems are just starting for those downstream, I wish them well.

Not sure if my greenhouse would have floated away ? however, I am Thankful it's still where I left it

That is a relief. I am glad that everyone is okay.

We had almost 5" of rain over 2 days ending saturday. It was still quite dry and the rain was relatively light and almost continuous. As a result it all soaked up with no problems. We still haven't had spring run off from the mountains yet so there is little impact on the rivers.
