Dypsis procera
This is a small understory Palm from Madagascar that should do well in a shady spot.
Some germinated seeds.
One on it's way....
These arrived already germinated, so into a 30% Perlite/Potting Soil mix to see how they do.

I had a look at Google Images to see what type of palm it is and there's only a few pics (compared to thousands normally).

6-10 feet a year...wow. You'll have to raise the roof to get it back inside!

You must have just been reading the thread below this ,( Pigafetta), I hope these grow nothing like that
These will probably top out about 6' and should do well in a container, not too sure how it would handle the low humidity in the Winter but it is fun to try!

Some things won't grow here no matter what I do. I really like these smaller Dypsis & Licualas and hoping my luck holds out
