This Fortunei that was covered but not heated
through -4F(a couple times)and looks like it
wants to come back.

Soil temps @4" approaching 60F.

zero (F) to 7F at least one was not hardy...

accurately rated to 10F,you can see less than that took it out.
Its the brown one behind the Havardiana...

I like it better without it...you can see the trunk of the
Y.Rostrada now and it opens up the bottom of the cactus garden.

Little Y.Treculeana no problem with near 0 temps.

The cacti in front of the Havardiana are only hardy to 20F
shhhh...they saw at least 5F.

Jim, what's happened to your new camera. Pics look like you was taking your "old buddy" in the hands?

Well,I think the combination of late evening light and....

I believe that princeps is one of the biggest in USA and definitely biggest in Iowa 8)

for very long this year :)
