H*me Depot greenhouses

Post by ryan » Sat Jul 22, 2006 7:02 pm

H*me Depot has some great 6x8 greenhouses they are selling. The greenhouses were originally priced at $799, then reduced to $499 and finally reduced to $299. I couldn't resist passing them by at that price so I decided to buy one. It was easy to assemble and the designer is a genius. Some locations are still selling them for $499, so make sure you let them know other locations are selling them for $299 if you are intrested in purcahsing one.

Ryan -
How has this worked out for you?
Any Pictures?

I'm going to need some more space this year and was debating pre-fabricated or making something out of some windows I have left over

AHHH Steve, you don't need a new greenhouse. There is a place in Topeka that can take your overfill
I need to ask Steve. Do you have anything in a Cycad other than the King, Edule (No. Mexico) that you need to get rid of?

Heres the pic. I built up the greenhouse on 2x12 pressure treated lumber to increase the height to about 7 1/2 feet. I took all of the plants out because of the record highs we have had the past few days. I have not installed a fan yet to draw out hot air, but I have installed automatic roof vent openers.

Thanks Steve, they are definitely worth checking out. They can easily be combined as well. With 2 kits you can make a 6x16 for $600.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
