Thanx Jim!
T. wagnerianus is outside from summer 2010. Survived two winters so far, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012. Last one was pretty bad. Temperature dropped down between -18 and -20 Celsius (0F to -4F). Garden is outside of the city at our weekend house, about 30 km east. I don't have an automatic whether station there, so winter minimum is my approximation based on official measurement. For winter protection I used 'agril'. I don't know the English term but it is the most commonly spread fabric for winter protection.

It's similar with burlap but is thinner material. I found name for that fabric 'non-woven agrotextile'

Wagnerianus with winter protection during winter 2010/2011
Yes Paul, -20 is pretty cold for some palms, especially for C. humilis and Butia. I buried whole plants (Chamaerops and Butia) under pine straws and leaves, plus palms have had overhead protection against rain and snow.

Welcome Henoh to Palms North.
You have some very desirable species.
Very little damage after such a cold winter for you.
I think the British call the protection `frost cloth`, it`s quite thin.
Wouldn`t have thought that would be enough for -20C.
Love the color on the C.humilis cerifera.
Gorgeous Butia too.
Well done; thank you for the great photos.

B. armata's blue color makes it one of my favorite palms.
I have two small ones.
Your collection is wonderful.
