Cruise Ships??

Post by Kansas » Mon May 22, 2006 3:18 pm

I found out the wife is planning a Bahama Cruise next year for my God Daughter's High School Grad.
Is it OK to "get" seeds off the islands? Or will you get in trouble?

It is fine to get seeds off the island, but US customs will not like the fact that you have them.

I agree. You can do it but I asked if I could do it when I was at a island. I was aloud but they still did not really like it though.I still never planted them yet.

I've been on a couple of cruises. One in 1996 we went to the western Carribean and I scooped all sorts of palm seed. Every time we are in Hawaii I load up my pockets. Have fun, but don't get caught. Joe

What happens if you do get caught?
I am like you Joe, whenever I go to a place with palms I pick up seeds and bring them back but I always wondered what would happen if you got caught.

Seeds

I'm sure if the customs dudes discovered you had your pockets full, they'd just take them away and slap your wrists. Heck, I'd just play dumb and say, " I didn't know that bringing seeds back was not allowed" I just wanted to grow them as house plants. Cheers, Joe
