Here is my short story about Maurelli. I bought it in spring 2011 and put into a ground on 11st May

Yes, you're right - this winter I hope Maurelli fits inside the house but the next year I will have a problem, a sweet problem to solve ;)

If you have a cool basement you can store the trunk down there over winter.

wow, looks powerfull even without leaves!

Unfortunately I have no basment, but my family who lives in the same village have :) I keep there some of my Musa Basjoo's.

Super colour on that plant!
I left mine in the ground to die, treating it like a bedding plant. If you have success with yours in 2012 maybe I'll try to save one for the future.

I don't have any bananas, but they must be easier to bend (at the ceiling) than palms?

Heh ;) For now I've got two options for the next winter:

1. My neighbour already declared that she can take my Maurelli into her living room - she has high enough room to keep an Ensete without any problems :)
2. I prepare an Ensete for the winter doing it like here in video:
