In Hamilton, ON at Gage Park there is a full tropical greenhouse, in its center is a massive plant touching the roof nearly 20 feet up. It is a bird of paradise as far as I am concerned. The folks that work there think it s a travellers palm. I told them they are wrong. This is a picture of its inflorescence :
