Entering 30-year period of cooling

As though we need any more proof of how brutal this winter has been/and will be for decades:

The song "Born too late springs to mind for this palm grower... :?

I hope that the global warming scaremongers are right. If the jet stream, which has spent the last few winters above Edmonton, slips south we will be back to old time temperatures of -40s for several weeks each winter.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Allen, yup me too (guess that proves we're both simplistic.) :?

I've just spent the last hour reading Comments from pro and con scientists.
Blew me away!

comments are located at the page bottom of that network national post link.

Some guys suggest selling the Prius and buying a Hummer!

Nice to hear BOTH sides of an argument at last.

There is a large pond/small lake that I work with. It has had temp records and ice logs for the past 40 years. Last year we broke the longest period ice was on the pond. This year looks like we might have a new record. :? :|

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Interesting Aaron.
There are some scientists that'll suggest building a road on that large pond. :|

I wanna go back to when 55 N latitude (and further north) was home to palms...

Great article,or not.
In the almanac they said we have moved into an 11 year cycle(related to sunspot activity) of colder weather but that this summer would be hotter tham normal,so I guess you can add or not to most of these predictions,or fortune cookies(in bed,or not)anyway one thing that does seem to be on the menu is greater frequency of severe weather events,as far as colder patterns go I guess it just depends where you live!
