Those look awesome! So far i have only managed to keep two seedlings alive out of the 5 seeds that i had. I have that when they trunk they lose hardiness?

Completely not true  they are even more hardy with age :D What happens is they are better at taking water from the ground, and so can rot if placed in a bad location :( Same with most any desert plant :)

Sounds good. :D I just heard they lost hardiness. Now i'm even more eager for them to grow and stick them in the ground.

Love that Y.brevifolia you have. I once tried one years ago, but it didn't like the Winter wet. I have another I grew from seed two years ago. I had a friend collect me the seeds at Joshua Tree park in California. I still have it in the greenhouse, but I will eventually plant it out in the next year or two. Banana Joe

Great pics! Those are quite well developed. Did you buy them already at a decent size? How do they do in winter for you?
All I have are a couple that just germinated a couple of weeks ago.

Cheers, Barrie.

How is yours doing Jay? Is it still alive?

Nice to see Aaron. They are looking great. That larger Joshua has put on some real growth from the first time I seen it three years ago.

Aaron, fabulous!
Just about 6 feet tall. :D
The smaller one just might catch up now that it's branching!

Are you starting more seeds?
Great landscape.

Barb, Thanks again. You are always so nice.
I am not grown anymore seedlings for awhile. Just have been to busy with my other hobbies lately. I use to grow about 200 yuccas a year, but it takes a bit to much time. :)
But if you get some seed they grow very easy. :D

Aaron, yup, know what you mean about time constraints.
Not enough hours in the day.
And damn few at night.
Couldn't be a sign that we're all gettin' older, huh?

You are probably right. But I think it is unfair for people that garden to grow old. I have to many things that I want to see grow bigger, much bigger.

A poignant comment! very well said!
Agree that it would sure be nice to put my rocking chair UNDER a Joshua or Y.rostrata, or?
