Robert Chumley was nice enough to send me a bunch of Triangle Palm seeds. I popped them all and put them in a community pot. Hopefully I can keep them alive thru the Winter and when the Kansas folks drive thru Topeka, they can stop and take 5-6.

How deep is the container they are in? ( Can't really tell from the photo ) These seem to do best with at least a 6" high planter to start with. I had some last year in the GH and inside , no problems at all , just kept them on the dry side once it cooled off.

Yea, the pot is not deep at all. It is only about 5" deep. A bunch of them actually push there way up out of the soil. It is at that point when I pot them up. I figure I can save room doing it that way because I am not potting up trees not ready and only using potting soil & pots on those that are ready.
I know the one you gave me a couple years ago that EXPLODED with growth this Summer, also did better than average over the Winter and yes, I too kept it on the dry side.

Nice work Wes,

I found a nice 3'-4' triangle palm for $40 if you want to give those little guys something to look at ;)
or you could go with the big guy closer to 9' for $120 (nice but to $$ for me)
