It says it is frost tolerant but it doesn't say how tolerant. Any ideas as to what temps it can take?

Nice looking palm though.

oppalm - Thanks, starting to order seeds to have something to do during the Winter. Most of these were recieved already germinated, Thanks to the CFPACS Seedbank. --> http://207.210.245.133/ms/seedbank/index.html

Wes - This is probably more heat tolerant than frost tolerant, some list it as a zone 9b but a lot of them seem to take damage below 32*/ 0C

Steve, do you buy the seeds or are you a member? Reason I ask, is I have always wanted a Royal palm. I bought one off Ebay and it lasted about 3 weeks before it found the bottom of my trash barrel
I saw where they had them in the seedbank.

Heres what you get to look forward to. This little guy germinated in (I think) Oct or Nov 2006. He was slow to get started but grew quite a bit this summer in full sun. He's got great color and is very healthy.

Here's a pic of my other Wodyetia Bifurcata - Foxtail. It has really taken off this summer. Full sun - probably 8 hours a day. loves the sun and heat.

That's a good size, how much growth did you get this season?
( If you got rid of those roses there would be more room for Palms

its a little difficult to tell but it grew maybe a foot , but it filled out nicely. Below is a picture taken in Dec 2006. It looks like maybe it added 3 new fronds this summer with one more on the way. I doubt the new one will open in the next 2-3 weeks, but theres always hope. I have to find the picture.
