Have Christmas Palm Seedlings

Post by Knnn »

Adonidia merrillii

I have about 18+ of these that need a new home, about 1.5 years old and are more than ready for 1 gallon + containers ( some of these I potted up a couple months ago and they have doubled in size 8)

I could use some more S.minor, etc, but really just trying to free some space up. Send a PM if interested.

Congrats on whoever got Steve's X-Mas palms. I can tell you from personal experience, after Steve told me to repot mine 3 months ago, that he is 100% right. If you re pot them, they will SHOOT up.
And I also might add, that the ones I got from him a year or so ago did VERY VERY VERY well over Winter inside as indopor plants. Just do not water as much.

Thanks Wes, Here's a photo of some I potted up earlier just to show the difference.
This also makes a good point that Adonidia growth can be controlled by the size of it's container.

Steve,

I like the Folgers container. Is it necssary to plant up as singles :?: I got them planted in clumps  . I'll have to get my hands on some more pots if so.

Dean,
Anything that can be used as a container gets put into service :)
I like growing these as singles, but they also look good together as triples, etc., just a matter of personal taste.

( If you want to keep some as singles, separate them before the root systems become too intertwined)
