On another thread, I described how I protected my Yucca rostrata last night. Figured I'd put it here.
Briefly, pulled it up close to the condo, under overhead cover and adjacent to a single-pane window. Set a pail of water (~12 liters) next to the pot, then used three towels to drape them. Overnight low was 8 oF (~13 oC); not sure what temp. was up close to building like this. But, the water in bucket was not frozen by morning.

I agree with Barb.......no frozen water means it worked well!!
