Agave havardiana

I hope that it does survive for you. The research that I have done on the A. harvardiana has indicated that it should survive short term lows to -23 C provided that the soil is dry and it is 'protected'.
Has the plant spent winter outside before you got it? If so how cold did it survive?

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Keep us posted. I am sure the snow will help insulate them and with a low of only -7C they should be ok as long as you have good draining soil.

They should be ok, even though havardiana is not very cold hardy until it is well established, the neomexicana can take a little more.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
