If money was no obstacle, what palm would you plant outside?

This was a question another member posted on the HPS site.

What would you would buy? It could be a large palm (or Yucca or really any plant) that you would have to get shipped, or a small hard to get palm.

Obviously it would be something you could protect (for the most part, this is where the cost comes in). For instance my yard planted grapefruit tree in zone 7a (more than doubled in size so i dug it up and potted it)

My top choice would be a travellers palm, Ravenala madagascariensis:

BUT if you could add "temperature" to your question, my choice would be the Copernicia hospita, (pictured at Nong Nooch Thailand) from NZ society:

For me, a nice trunked Trachy. They look great, and with their minimal protection needs (relatively) it could be enjoyed more of the year.
But if you are serious about $ no object, then I'll take a 1,000 hectares of mature Chilean wine palms in production

Me too. That would be a dream, but I think I would mix in a forest of mature W. filiferas. Two of the thickest trunking palms together.
Why can't we live longer, oh say just long enough to grow a Chilean wine palm from seed to full maturity.

Tired of living in zone 5? Zone 7a is just the other side of lake Ontario. Your choice: Beamsville , St Catharines, or Niagara on the Lake!
An hour and a half drive away!

Hey, nice question...for me, my best palms are Washingtonia filifera as a fan palm, and the Foxtail palm. But the silver fan palm like the one above or the Bismarkia nobilis is great too......but all the palms is beautifull...

Probably something like Beccariophoenix Alfredii:

Looks like a coconut palm, but tolerates lower temperatures!

Of course, since money is no obstacle in this hypothetical scenario, I'd probably get a coconut palm with the "protection" being a large greenhouse.
