Yucca aloifolia x elata? breaking dormancy

Post by TimMAz6 » Wed Apr 18, 2012 5:11 pm

That crazy looking freak hybrid from Germany survived winter and it breaking dormancy. The people who found this Yucca in Germany don't know the exact parentage but it looks like the photo below......we think it's a Y. aloifolia x elata since the person who bought it said it was labeled Yucca aloifolia. This is a cool looking Yucca when mature.

Wow! It would be great if this hybrid survives winters better than the other Y. aloifolia at your place have!

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Definitely this hybrid is on my wish list because I have problem with overwintering pure Y. aloifolia. Tim, keep us updated with your young one.
