Yes, same here in Omaha as well. Not even a "hard" freeze yet really. Poor Banana's don't know what to do....

Great video, next time or when you box up, I would be interested in seeing your boxes a bit closer. It looks like you just have two inch styrofoam sheets and duct taped them together or do you have some sort of nails/fasteners? So long as I don't kill mine this winter, next spring I'm on the lookout for 4 6 foot trunk winmills so I will have my work cut out a year from now for boxing up.

Mike, how did you protect the Queen up till this year? did it grow so much since last winter. BEAUTIFUL palm it is. Shame to see it perish.

Hey Guys I am donating this palm to the botanical gardens or a shopping mall whoever picks it up first -it grew a lot this year. Queen palms are quite tough. good to -6c or -7c at -8c-9c leaf damage occurs. Doesn't really pay to protect this palm here the cost of protection and electricity exceeds the cost of the palm.
