Dawn and dusk are my favourite times of day in this heat. Here is a video I took with my cell phone as the sun was going down last night and it became cool enough to get some work done in the barn.

I like the video. I almost can get the touch how does it feel in that evening. That's sad that you have to go, I have moved many times in my life some of them for financial reason so it is hard I know..
I wish you all the luck you can get and the one aswell you couldn't. Hope to hear of you and your palms soon.

Cold hardy palms moving south
We had some friends over for the weekend, up here in Tulsa for a horse show.
We sent them home with stuff.
They live south of us, most of the way to Sabal minor country. Hence, they got my new Sabal minor clump (photo 1). I tucked the two new C. H. cerifera in their truck, too. Figure they have a decent chance down where our friends live + we'll visit in autumn and give protection tips.
Photo 2 shows the cats they gave us going home. Notice the palms get a better ride....

Very generous of you Erik.
Plus you'll get to see the palms.
I think your friends got the better deal.

Good point, Erik.
And, down the road, when you're looking for a canoe, stove, sewing machine, driving harness, jump stands, they'll give them back to you
The cats, unlike goats, won't eat your landscaping.
Hope you get some solid and good offers soon...
