Been too busy lately and missing the forum! Just wanted to share some photos from Joshua Tree National Park, from a recent trip to the Coachella Valley in Southern California last month. I'm sure many of you will recognize the plants, which include: a Washy Filifera oasis, Nolina parryi, Mohave yucca, yucca brevifolia and, I think, some optunia (perhaps our cactus experts can help me with an i.d.).
Also, check out the two photos of my y. rostrata which has been under cover since mid November. Uncovered last week, and I'm pretty happy with how it looks. I did notice some mold/fungus, for which I applied a fungicide. While it's not what it was in the fall, I think it might have a good shot in the spring-but spring will tell more, of course. Thanks for looking!
