Pindo Palm

Post by ZeroLT1 » Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:56 pm

While I was visiting the place and people I am going to be living with in Atlanta I happened to grab a Pindo while I was down there. Just wanted to share :)

Nice, are you going to plant it outside? :D

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Well seeing as where I am going to be living in an apartment for a while I'll probably keep it in a pot, so then once I get a house I'll plant it right in my front yard for all to see. :D

Fond memories.
The little horse is fine; the pindo palm "bigger than a horse" is dead. I'll cremate the remains one of these days.

Here is how it looks now (5 minutes); the sad Washy project is next to it.

My avatar Butia, four years in the ground, is looking good. The photo is from August 2009. It was defoliated again last winter despite protection but has doubled in size over Summer 2010. I am tempted to take a new photo, but fear I'll jinx it if I do
