Can't order plants from the united states?

Post by yuccaman » Wed May 10, 2006 2:22 pm

I been having trouble trying to order plants but they won't ship them across the boarder. I can't buy any palms no nurserys sells any trachycarpus. Just indoor date palms. Can't order any. Everything is mostly American every site I go to is American.I want to buy hardy cactus. They don't sell Musa basjoo, Hardy palms,Hardy cactus, Agaves, And pitcher plants, Hardy venus flytrap the one I like. I can't get any of these things in my area. Why in south western ontario you can get palms and other plants. The reason why? at hollandale nursery I was told that we were darn too cold. Could give me some canadian sites that are great? So I can get cactus, palms etc... Sorry im just angry :(

You can try these mail order nurseries:

http://tropic.ca
http://www.theplantfarm.ca
http://www.rockgardenplants.com

They are all in BC but i think they ship out East. They have a great selection of cacti, yuccas, bananas and palms. :D

Regards,
Jay

Broadway Nurseries

Yuccaman,

Why don't you try Broadway Nurseries? I know that they are far from you but they do send plants by mail, just ask Wes. I also know of another person from another forum that ordered the following items from Quebec.

1 Needle(3gal) $59.00
1 Trachy(3gal) $39.00
1 Musa sikken. $19.00

TOTAL :$119.97
11.24 tx
12.85 tx
-----------

$144.06

Shipping fees
to Montreal $40.61

FYI they also received a new shipment of other sizes and plants.

PS. $40.00 in shipping, yours would likely be less, in my opinion is very reasonable. It cost me jst $30.00 in gas to drive from Toronto to St catherines plus over 3 hrs of driving.
Here's their website
www.millionplants.com
or email Tony direct at tony@millionplants.com
