I was able to toss in a few xeriscape plants into an area where I work. The area is on a rock ledge with superior drainage. It's a bit on the wild side (not manicured) but the selection I choose should do fine.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Well if you could call it "soil", no amendments. It was very dry and dusty, mostly rock and I had to search carefully to find appropriate sites for each plant. I've been approached by management to plant some palms next spring.Okanagan desert-palms wrote:Nice to see Barrie. Cactus, yucca, agave on Vancouver Island. Any other amending of the soil before planting?
