COLD!!!!

Post by Okanagan desert-palms » Thu Jan 15, 2009 12:20 pm

New record set in Estevan Saskatchewan -43c -43f. Now that`s cold when celcius and fahrenheit are equal on the thermometer. Looks like more of the same for the folks on the prairies YIKES  and points east. Bring on more of that global warming YUP.

On the other hand, Tofino BC is enjoying 10°C or better (50°F) and sunny days.

Cheers, Barrie.

Here in Halifax it's been a winter of huge temp. differences, from around +15 C before to -15 today and a predicted -18 C tomorrow  Still though, -43 C is QUITE COLD

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

But not so cold in Edmonton. 9*C yesterday and Accuweather is forecasting 16*C for today and 18*C for tomorrow. I'll believe that when I see it.

But I am not complaining!

Those temps might be a bit generous according to Environment Canada.
11°C isn't bad for Edmonton although the bottom falls out of it by Thursday (-13°C) and snow.

Enjoy it while you can :D

I am enjoying it. But the Ice Carnival sure isn't. We just got back from it. Only one sculpture was recognizable with the rest melting away or falling down. The ice castle is starting to collapse and the maze is roped off.

This is the second year that warm weather has affected the carnival.

Allen, Send some of that warm weather this way!
We just finished with our first serious cold of the season, T.O. (downtown) hit -2f, while my place near Kingston experienced zone 4 lows for the first time in 4 years! We bottomed out at -20f (-29C). Pretty cold stuff.

Hey Paul. Accuweather sent 7 *C your way yesterday. I hope that you got it. (We only got to 9*C.)

Allen, it must have skipped us... It's cold now (-7C) and supposed to wamr slightly (high of 1 on Wednesday) before the temperature drops close to -20C again at the end of the week!
