Sabal uresana

Post by Knnn » Thu Sep 04, 2008 11:26 am

A Sabal found primarily in Mexico.

Some more info; http://www.pacsoa.org.au/palms/Sabal/uresana.html

Like most Sabals, these seemed easy to germinate.

A three day heated soak, then into a sealed container with Sphagnum moss and kept between 85* - 95* degrees.
First germination within 1 - 2 weeks.

Thanks Dean, with good seed and the proper environment, it's nature that does all the work :D

For me, it's been trying to keep them alive a year or more past the germination stage. I have 2 left from a total of about 30.

Cheers, Barrie.
